Monday-"Privilege Day"

Mondays can be very busy days at the Braddy Home, lots of clothes to wash, usually because of doing other things on the weekends than washing clothes, the house is usually out of sorts, dirty floors, things out of place etc.,I used to say I have so many chores to do on Monday and maybe feeling overwhelmed many times like i never seem to get caught up.  God has shown me a different perspective on Mondays,I no longer will continue to call it ,"chore day",I see it now  as a very special day of the week ,I will explain why....  The meaning of chore is-A daily task,a task that becomes unpleasant or burdensome,The meaning of privilege is-A special right or benefit granted to a person.  I am so thankful that my body and mind are both able to do all the things required to do on Mondays,I could be minus my eyesight, where I couldn't see my home that needs so much done or without proper use of my limbs,I could be an invalid, being unable to do anything without help,,There are so many women in the world whether sick and/or disabled mentally or physically that would love to be able to enjoy Mondays by having all these things to do.  God has given me the privilege of having so many things to do on Mondays, He has blessed me with family to spend time with on Saturday at the river while the house work is piling up at home and for our children and grandchildren coming over for Sunday dinner to enjoy the day eating and sitting on the front porch together in the afternoon.  I appreciate the fact that God allows me to wake up to sticky melted popsickle lying on the porch steps from our grandson enjoying the beauty of a hot summer Sunday with family that loves him,Mondays,Chore Day?Oh ,but no, Mondays are not chore days, Mondays to me are surely God given privileges.  Thank you Lord, for reminding me of these things and For allowing me to have Privilege Day everyday.  Reminder:  When teaching our children and grandchildren how to keep things tidy and in order around our homes may we always do it with a gentle, loving spirit and a reminder to them that it is a blessing to have a home and family to keep tidy and clean, many people do not even have a roof over their heads and many don't have a family to pick up after.
